Devin has a very unique story that gives him perspective into organizational leadership, ministry, and education. Growing up as the son of an evangelist, Devin was exposed to many different cultures, styles, and levels of effectiveness in leading people. From age 4-11, the Petersons visited over 200 churches (big, small, healthy, and even some that were struggling to stay open). It was during his early teen years that he felt the call of ministry and began to pursue this direction passionately. Serving in lay ministry, Devin was able to learn from his own pastors and leaders. Through formal education, he was able to wrestle with many difficult questions that sit at the forefront of leadership and ministry. Now with over a decade of hands on ministry and administrative experience, Devin is well equipped to lead and inspire. Since moving to the DFW area in 2003, Devin has served over 20 churches in North Texas alone (membership, staff positions, planting and/or consulting). According to leading temperament and strength assessments, Devin has a unique personality type that makes up less than 2% of the population, making him a very dynamic visionary and strategic leader.
